Book Reviews!

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is a great book. I would rate it 5 stars. It's a fantasy book that takes place in the late 1800's and early 1900's. It is about two people are in a competition, but they don't know all the rules. They are magicians that don't have any tricks up there sleeves, who keep going on with everyday life until  they meet each other. There is a bit of romance mixed in with  it and I don't want to give anymore away, but you should read it.

I've also read The Ranger's Apprentice and Artemis Fowl thanks to the school's book club. Artemis Fowl is about a 12 yr. old genius who wants enough gold to make the Fowl's rich again (This is the first one I'm talking about.) Ranger's Apprentice is about a boy named Will who is an orphan, they are going to get chose as apprentices. Will hopes to become a battle school trainee because all he knows about his dad is that he was a hero and he assumes that his dad went to battle school. He doesn't get picked as a battle school trainee, he gets picked as a ranger's apprentice. These are both really good books, and you should read these too.

BZRK!!!

BZRK by Michael Grant is and interesting book I really enjoyed. It's about Sadie and Noah who later in the book change their names to Plath and Keats (two insane poets) because of becoming part of this new group, BZRK. There are two sides, BZRK against the Armstrong Twins. Twins with two head, but one body. The war is fought with nanobots and biobots, they're like little bugs that you can barely see, but they can see you. You can get inside people bodies with them, and you can drive a person insane with them. There are some amazing battles in this book, some are inside the human body. There are two outcomes, victory or madness. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it to everyone who likes intensely awesome sci-fi books.

Thirsty by M.T Anderson

Thirsty is an interesting book about, you guessed it, vampires. Chris is a boy that has normal human problems and problems about his vampire future. He lives in a world where it's kind of like the Salem Witch Trials all over again, but this time with vampires. This book was a bit disappointing, I was hoping for more of a story out of it. I think it could have been a really great book, it was just a bit fast. I enjoy reading vampire stories to see all the variety in them, but this one wasn't exactly one that was on my top ten favorites list. This was an OK book, it just wasn't excellent as I would've hoped. I've heard a lot of great things about this book, so other people just enjoyed it more than I did.

The Night She Disappeared!

I read The Night She Disappeared by April Henry and I think that it was an OK book. I've read worse books than that, but it wasn't my favorite either. It's a mystery book about a pizza delivery girl (Kayla) that gets kidnapped. Gabbie feels especially bad about what happens because the guy asked for the girl that drives the Mini Cooper, which Gabbie drives. Drew feels bad because he's the one that took the call and had Kayla deliver the pizza. Throughout the whole book Gabbie and Drew are looking for any clues as to where Kayla's at. What I didn't like about this book is that there are chapters from Kayla's perspective so you know that she's alive. I usually like mystery books that you don't know if the person is alive until the very end. I enjoyed that it showed you papers about evidence and the pizza delivery form. It was a very interesting book to read, and it was a twist to the usual mysteries, but I prefer to be surprised. It was a nice book with a good mystery, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries and doesn't care for being surprised.
