Wicked!

Wicked Appetite and Wicked Business are hilarious books written by Janet Evanovich. I could not stop laughing as I read these book. Lizzy is just an ordinary baker until Diesel comes into her life. Lizzy has a gift to find special stones that have to do with the seven deadly sins, they have to get the stones before Wolfe and his medieval servant, Hatchet, gets them. These books are really adventurous, funny, and crazy. I can't wait to read the next books in this series!

The Land of Stories!!

I've just read (OK a long time ago) The Land of Stories; by Chris Colfer. The land of stories is about twins that are given a fairy tale book for their birthday, and things get wackier and wackier from there. This book is kind of a fractured fairy tale with a twist. I like all the twists and turns in this, plus all of the creativity. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good fractured fairy tale.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

So I found that I really like the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and when I found out that there are books based off of the TV show, I had to read them. There are three stories in every book written by a different author. I have read the first and second one, and am hoping to read the third one soon. So for those of you that haven't had the pleasure to read the books or watch the TV show, here's what it's about. Every generation, there is a chosen one who will fight against vampires, demons, and other dark forces. Buffy is the chosen one, she lives in Sunnydale which is the opening of the hellmouth where all the dark forces and vampires, etc. are drawn to. the stories in the first book are Coyote Moon by John Vornholt, Night of the Living Rerun by Arthur Byron Cover, and Portal Through Time by Alice Henderson. I enjoyed reading these stories and they were a lot like the show. In the second book the stories are Halloween Rain by Christopher Golden and Nancy Holder, Bad Bargain by Diana G. Gallagher, and Afterimage by Pierce AskegrenI enjoyed all of these stories and would recommend them to anyone who enjoys vampire books with a lot of action in them.

Maximum Ride!!!

I've just recently finished reading the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. Maximum Ride and her gang are special, they're only 98% human. The other 2% is avian (birds) which means they have wings. The whole series is about them trying to survive and going through troubles together. I enjoyed the series, some books more than others. The series just ended in August :-( and ended in a shocking way. I love who Max ended up with in the end, but I'm not sure if I like how the book ended itself. It's a great book and a great series, and I would recommend this book tho anyone who likes sci-fi or adventure books.

Artemis Fowl and the Last Guardian!!!

I love all of the Artemis Fowl books and The Last Guardian is no exception. It's the last book in the Artemis Fowl series (by Eoin Colfer) and I was sad to see the series end. Artemis Fowl got done with his counseling with someone when Opal Koboi is kidnapped and people are threatening to shoot her. Holly, Artemis, Butler, and Foaly have to figure out what's going on and why Opal Koboi got kidnapped and how to stop it. All of that is happening while Juliet and the Fowl twins (Miles and Beckett) are playing, when there's a crash and fairy spirits rise from their graves and into the first living thing they can find. I didn't like how the books ended, but it's a twist that was really interesting. If you want to find out how the book ends, you're going to have to read it!

Book Reviews!

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is a great book. I would rate it 5 stars. It's a fantasy book that takes place in the late 1800's and early 1900's. It is about two people are in a competition, but they don't know all the rules. They are magicians that don't have any tricks up there sleeves, who keep going on with everyday life until  they meet each other. There is a bit of romance mixed in with  it and I don't want to give anymore away, but you should read it.

I've also read The Ranger's Apprentice and Artemis Fowl thanks to the school's book club. Artemis Fowl is about a 12 yr. old genius who wants enough gold to make the Fowl's rich again (This is the first one I'm talking about.) Ranger's Apprentice is about a boy named Will who is an orphan, they are going to get chose as apprentices. Will hopes to become a battle school trainee because all he knows about his dad is that he was a hero and he assumes that his dad went to battle school. He doesn't get picked as a battle school trainee, he gets picked as a ranger's apprentice. These are both really good books, and you should read these too.

BZRK!!!

BZRK by Michael Grant is and interesting book I really enjoyed. It's about Sadie and Noah who later in the book change their names to Plath and Keats (two insane poets) because of becoming part of this new group, BZRK. There are two sides, BZRK against the Armstrong Twins. Twins with two head, but one body. The war is fought with nanobots and biobots, they're like little bugs that you can barely see, but they can see you. You can get inside people bodies with them, and you can drive a person insane with them. There are some amazing battles in this book, some are inside the human body. There are two outcomes, victory or madness. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it to everyone who likes intensely awesome sci-fi books.

Thirsty by M.T Anderson

Thirsty is an interesting book about, you guessed it, vampires. Chris is a boy that has normal human problems and problems about his vampire future. He lives in a world where it's kind of like the Salem Witch Trials all over again, but this time with vampires. This book was a bit disappointing, I was hoping for more of a story out of it. I think it could have been a really great book, it was just a bit fast. I enjoy reading vampire stories to see all the variety in them, but this one wasn't exactly one that was on my top ten favorites list. This was an OK book, it just wasn't excellent as I would've hoped. I've heard a lot of great things about this book, so other people just enjoyed it more than I did.

The Night She Disappeared!

I read The Night She Disappeared by April Henry and I think that it was an OK book. I've read worse books than that, but it wasn't my favorite either. It's a mystery book about a pizza delivery girl (Kayla) that gets kidnapped. Gabbie feels especially bad about what happens because the guy asked for the girl that drives the Mini Cooper, which Gabbie drives. Drew feels bad because he's the one that took the call and had Kayla deliver the pizza. Throughout the whole book Gabbie and Drew are looking for any clues as to where Kayla's at. What I didn't like about this book is that there are chapters from Kayla's perspective so you know that she's alive. I usually like mystery books that you don't know if the person is alive until the very end. I enjoyed that it showed you papers about evidence and the pizza delivery form. It was a very interesting book to read, and it was a twist to the usual mysteries, but I prefer to be surprised. It was a nice book with a good mystery, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries and doesn't care for being surprised.

The Legacy of Tril!!

The Legacy of Tril is a series by Heather Brewer. The first one, Soulbound, is about a place called Tril, where people are born Healers or Barrons. When Barrons get inured in war, they get healed by their healer they are soulbound to. If the person's soulbound mate dies he or she can still be bound to a person, the connection just isn't as strong. Kaya is born a healer, but wants to fight. When she is forced to go to Shadow Academy she is bound with Trayton, since her soulbound mate died. She asks two people to help her learn to fight, only one will help. This is an interesting book that I enjoyed a lot. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a book with a lot of action in it. This book has an interesting story and I can't wait for the next books to come out.

Matched!

I'm sad to say that I read Matched by Ally Condie and didn't enjoy it very much. It's about Cassia who does everything the Society tells her to do. They tell her what to eat, who she'll marry. At her Matching ceremony she's matched with her friend Xander and is happy. When she receives a chip with everything about Xander on it, Ky Markham's face appears before Xander's face shows up. The Society tells her that it's just a glitch in the system, but Cassia starts falling for Ky... It' s more of a romance, and I'm not really a person who likes to read romances. If you enjoy reading romances this book should be good for you.

The Forest of Hands and Teeth

I finished reading the Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan, and didn't like it much. It took half the book to get interesting, and it wasn't even very interesting in the middle. It's a book that has zombies (they're called the unconsecrated) in it, and I was hoping that I'd like it. It's about Mary who lives in a village that they are told is the last one on Earth. It is surrounded by a fence that keeps out the unconsecrated (zombies), there is only two ways out, some paths that no one know where they go. When the unconsecrated gets through the fence Mary is forced to flee the village. There are two other books in the series, I'm going to read them and I hope they are better than the first. Also, I just finished typing my second book in my series Bomb Warning. I am now working on the third and final book in the series. :)

Gone Series!!!

I just finished reading the Gone books by Michael Grant and loved them. There are 6 books in the series, only 5 of them are out so far. The books are Gone, Hunger, Lies, Plague, Fear, and Light. The books are about all of the kids who live in Perdido Beach. One day all of the kids are in school and everyone 15 or older disappears and kids start to develop powers. In these books you get to see how they survive through all of the tough problems they get themselves into. While they have to deal with all of those problems there is trouble between Caine and Sam, two of the main characters and tons of trouble between other characters. I recommend these books to any who enjoys reading science fiction and/or survival books.

Beyonders!!

I have decided that I'm going to start writing about EVERY book I read, good or bad. Beyonders by Brandon Mull is a series of book I like reading. I have just recently finished the second book, The Seeds of Rebellion. It is about two teenagers, Rachel and Jason, that try to save Lyrian the world they are transported to. While they are saving the world they are also trying to get back home. I enjoyed reading this series a lot, and I can't wait for the third one, Chasing the Prophecies, to come out.

School's Out!!!

School's out! I'm so happy! Sure, school's good and important, but after a year of it, everyone gets sick of it. The best thing about school being out is that I don't have to wake up early anymore! Since it was the end of the year I found out how many pages I've read this school year. Any guesses? 16,898 pages! I knew I read a lot, but not that much! Along with that I found a new series of books I really loved. the Hourglass Door by Lisa Mangum is an awesome book. The rest of the series I loved as well. It is about Abby, who is the director of the school play. She's directing the play when a new kids joins, his name is Dante and she falls in love with him. The bad thing is, she has a boyfriend. Abby soon finds out that Dante isn't from around here, he's from Italy, but not from that year.... It's a good book, and I recommend it to everyone!

New book alert!!

I just read a new book and it is amazing! I got Infinity as an Easter present from my parents and read it in 1 day. It's a series of three books, Infinity, Invincible, and Infamous. They're called The Chronicles of Nick. They are by Sherrilyn Kenyon and they are really good books. They have zombies, vampires, werewolves, mythology, and demons in them. The main character is a 14 yr. old named Nick Gautier. In the first one, Nick goes to a school by a scholarship where rich kids go. He's bullied all the time and he's poor. One day some tourists are about to get mugged and he stops the people that are trying to mug him. He gets shot and wakes up in a hospital. Things get a lot weirder after that.... It's such a good book, you should read it!

Hunger Games!!!

Hunger Games is coming to theaters March 23rd!! Who isn't about that? For those of you who haven't read the book, you should! They are really good books, and no, they are not about an eating contest. It's a survival book, that takes place in future North America. There are 12 districts and a capitol, every year to show the districts that the capitol is in charge, they pick 2 contestants from each district (a boy and a girl) to fight until there is only one survivor. District 12 is the coal mining district. From District 12, 16 yr. old Katniss Everdeen's little sister Primrose is picked. Katniss would do anything for Prim so she volunteers to be a tribute. Her and Peeta Mellark are the 2 representatives for District 12 to fight until death (or until there is only one of them left.) Hunger Games (by Suzanne Collins) is an amazing book you should read. It is part of a trilogy; the 3 books are Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay. Read the book before you see the movie, because the book is always better.
