Lorien Legacies!

Aliens fleeing their planet that is being destroyed by the Mogadorians come to Earth. They are each assigned a number. They can only be killed in that order unless they come in order. There are 10 of them who are just children and their guardians. They have to learn to fit in on Earth and conceal their powers. Sound interesting? That's the Lorien Legacies. I really enjoyed this series and am waiting for the next one to come out. There is a lot of sci-fi in this, so I would recommend it to you if you enjoy sci-fi. My friend and I enjoy talking about these books (Hello friend!), and he actually spoiled the ending of the most recent one, but I still enjoy talking about theories with him. The first book in the series is called  I Am Number Four,  that's where you should start. There are also some books in between like the  I Am Number Four: Lost Files and the first one was made into a movie. You should check them out if they're peaking your interest.

The World's Most Famous Consulting Detective!

Sherlock Holmes. Everyone who hasn't been living under a rock has heard of him. The character was originally created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle about a brilliant detective who solved mysteries. There is a British television show called Sherlock with Sherlock Holmes in the modern day world. There have been lots of other movies, books, and TV shows created based on this genius, and I'm going to talk about one of them. Andrew Lane writes about Sherlock Holmes when he was a kid, he uses the same time period Arthur Conan Doyle did. These books are really interesting and I enjoy reading them. His books are: Death Cloud, Rebel Fire, and Black Ice. I have enjoyed reading all three of these and am looking forward to reading any more that come out. I would recommend these books to anyone who enjoys Sherlock Holmes.

No Safety in Numbers!

Imagine this: You're walking through a book store and you walk past a book with a
bright yellow cover and a cool symbol on front. That's No Safety in Numbers,
know we're not supposed to judge books by their covers and I don't much, but if
the cover looks cool like that, it's going to catch my interest. I had high hopes for
this book, and wasn't as impressed as I was hoping. Basically, a bunch of people are quarantined in a mall with only so much food. This book had a big surprise at the end, but it didn't impress me enough to continue with the series. If it sounds interesting to you, read it, and then comment telling me what you thought of it and we can have a discussion about it.

The Glass Menagerie!

I read this play/book for a play report due in my theater class. Apparently Tennessee Williams is a famous play writer who wrote this play. This play wasn't the most interesting, but it wasn't completely awful either. It was kinda a neutral  play. It was a quick read and kinda a romance, but it doesn't take that much time or effort to read which is good because it's harder to read plays like Shakespeare (believe me, I've tried). I finished this at the very beginning of last year so I can't remember as much about it as I can some others. If you're needing a play to read for a report, this one is a pretty good one to pick.

A Christmas Carol!

Merry Christmas! Okay, so it's not Christmas, but I'm so far behind I need to review a book I read for Christmas in my English class in 2012. This book is a classic, but it isn't one of my favorites to read. There are tons of movies based off of this book, but it wasn't the most interesting to read. Maybe it was because we had to read it in class, or had to do assignments on it, or maybe it just wasn't my favorite. Anyways, just because I don't like, it doesn't mean you won't either. It's got time travel in it, that's always a plus, and ghosts. So if it sounds interesting to you, check it out!

Stephanie Plum Novels!

So where do we begin? These books are comedies meant for a more adult audience. It's about a girl who needs money so she is pretty much a bounty hunter. There are also two guys who she can't decide between- it's like Twilight all over again. (Seriously! Just choose one guy!) These books are funny, but they get old after a while in my opinion. It's the same plot, the same thing happens, she's with a different guy every other book, but did I mention they're funny? There are 21 books in the series (that's right, 21). There are even some in between books like Visions of Sugar Plums. I only read to the eleventh book before I got tired of the plot so decided to quit. Even though they're not my favorite books, you may enjoy them, so if they sound interesting to you, go check them out.

The Arcade Catastrophe!

This is the second book in the Candy Shop War series by Brandon Mull. I enjoyed the first one and the second one was good, too. It brings back your favorite characters with an interesting new story. Now instead of a candy shop with magical treats there's an arcade with magical.... I probably shouldn't spoil it. This was another good book that I would recommend to someone with a love for fantasy.

To Kill a Mockingbird!

I haven't read this book in over a year. I read it in November 2012.
So let's see what I remember. I've heard that we read this in high
school and that everyone but the teachers hate it. I read it and enjoyed
it. We were reading it in the school book club and I was the only one
besides the teachers that finished it. It's on the list of banned books, which is another factor to get you to read it, is it really that bad that it needs to get banned? So anyways, I give it a high rating and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading historical fiction. But don't take my word for it, read it!

Hello! Sorry! I'm not dead!

Hello people of the internet! I am sorry I have been neglecting my blog this year. This is my first post of the year (at the end of May, I know, it's sad) and I'd like to apologize to anyone who has been waiting for me to post again. I have been really busy with school this year, but now that the school year is almost over, I can start blogging again. I am over a year behind in blogging and it keeps going up. This means that I'm going to be blogging and reviewing books that I haven't read in a year. I am going to have to go by my memory and the rating (out of 5) I gave the book after I read it. The reviews for those books are going to be relatively short and are going to get longer as they get more recent. I'm going to try really hard to be pretty caught up by the middle to the end of June. So yeah, I'm not dead, sorry I have been neglecting this blog for a while.
